Implants
A small titanium post replaces the root, and a porcelain crown sits on top. We plan the position on a 3D scan before the day, so the placement is quick, precise and usually calmer than people expect.

What happens, and when.
- 013D scan and planA low-dose 3D scan shows the bone, so the implant can be planned to a fraction of a millimetre.
- 02PlacementUnder local anaesthetic, guided by the plan. Most patients return to work the next day.
- 03HealingThree months for the bone to grow onto the implant, with a temporary tooth if it shows.
- 04CrownA porcelain crown matched to the teeth around it, screwed or bonded in place.

It suits
- One or more missing teeth
- Loose bridges or dentures you want to replace
- Enough bone, or a plan to rebuild it
Good to know
- Implants are cleaned like natural teeth, plus a yearly check
- Smoking slows healing, so we plan around it
- Full arches can be fixed on four to six implants
Questions
What people ask about Implants.
Is it painful?
The placement is done under local anaesthetic. Afterwards most patients need only ordinary painkillers for a day or two.
Am I too old for an implant?
Age matters less than health and bone. We place implants for patients in their eighties.
How much does a full arch cost?
It depends on the number of implants and the bridge. You get an exact written price after the scan.
